We want everyone deciding on the welding inspector credential to be able to use these tools. Welding Inspector Prep is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What is in place today
- A skip-to-content link and full keyboard operability, with a visible focus outline on every interactive control.
- Text and interface colors that meet AA contrast in both the light and dark themes.
- The dark theme follows your operating-system preference automatically.
- Reduced-motion preferences are respected; there is no essential animation.
- The cost and endorsement tables stack into readable single-column cards on small screens.
- Semantic HTML structure (headings, lists, labelled form controls) so screen readers can navigate.
- Calculator results are announced through live regions as they update.
How we check
Before this site was published, every page was tested with the axe accessibility engine against the WCAG 2.2 A and AA rule sets, and the home page, the primary tool, and a guide must report zero serious or critical violations for the site to ship. We also walk the site by keyboard. This statement describes only measures that are actually in place and verified, not aspirations.
No accounts, no barriers
There are no accounts, no logins, no tracking cookies, and no email walls. Every tool runs in your browser and your inputs stay on your device, so nothing stands between you and the information.
Feedback
If you hit an accessibility barrier on this site, we want to fix it. Please tell us through the Urban Algorithm contact page and describe the page and the problem.
