How much does the Certified Welding Inspector certification cost all in?
Plan for at least $1,255 (member) or $1,520 (non-member) for the exam, plus a $125 application fee if you file by mail, a $60-per-part Prometric seat fee, an Authorized Training Facility fee for the Part B practical, and $0 to $2,510 for prep depending on whether you self-study or take the seminar. The seminar is optional, not a requirement to sit the exam.

On the cheapest honest path, the base exam is about 84% of everything you pay. The extras are small; the one big optional lever is the seminar, and that is a decision, not a fee.
The seminar is optional. It is not required to sit the exam. The neutral read: it earns its cost only if your Part A fundamentals are rusty or you need a fixed structure. Strong, current fundamentals? The self-study path passes the same exam.
